About This Item

2007 DarrylW4 & Firefly03 Pepper Memorial Silver Geocoin (Photo 4)

Photo 4 For 2007 we're remembering our cat "Pepper" who we lost late in 2006. While these coins have one icon, the coins have been released on Antique Gold and Silver with four different photos in each metal.

The "Launched" series of geocoins is our personal geocoin which we (Firefly03 and I) are sending into the wild. Our goal is to drop one into each cache we visit to see how many geocachers can log the coins as they move from cache-to-cache. We began the "Launched" series in early 2006 with the "2006 DarrylW4 & Firefly03 Geocoin" and continued with the "2006 DarrylW4 Mini Film Canister Coin" and "2006 Firefly 03 Mini Geocoin." We'll be dropping mostly the Antique Silver coins into caches with a few of the Gold coins reserved for the especially good caches and for our milestones.

Found this coin on Honeymoon Island, FL. Really enjoyed this one, as I found a 'different' Pepper coin about 7-8 years ago. Great coin that I will keep moving.

The Duck Des Families cache was destroyed years ago. We managed to recover this trackable but stopped geocaching shortly thereafter. This trackable was recently discovered and we have set it back out on its journey.

Found you GC while visiting friends in Tucson. Loved the area and picked up GC after visiting Saguaro National Park. Was a wonderful day. I have returned to Houston and will set Pepper's GC free probably this next weekend. Thanks for sharing Pepper's memory. I lost a cat that looked much the same as your Pepper.

Sorry for holding onto this coin for so long - the Hauff Family has been exceedingly busy lately, and has been unable to enjoy the simple pleasures of Geocaching. This cache is in a good location, and it will be moved on very soon, I'm sure! Thanks for sharing!

We recently found a different Pepper Memorial Coin in a cache on the north side of Tucson - so we were surprised to see another one so quickly! Pepper was obviously well-loved. Will move the coin along so it can be logged with us, and can be discovered by others.
