2007 DarrylW4 & Firefly03 Pepper Memorial Silver Geocoin (Photo 2)

Photo 2 For 2007 we're remembering our cat "Pepper" who we lost late in 2006. While these coins have one icon, the coins have been released on Antique Gold and Silver with four different photos in each metal.

The "Launched" series of geocoins is our personal geocoin which we (DarrylW4 and I) are sending into the wild. Our goal is to drop one into each cache we visit to see how many geocachers can log the coins as they move from cache-to-cache. We began the "Launched" series in early 2006 with the "2006 DarrylW4 & Firefly03 Geocoin" and continued with the "2006 DarrylW4 Mini Film Canister Coin" and "2006 Firefly 03 Mini Geocoin." We'll be dropping mostly the Antique Silver coins into caches with a few of the Gold coins reserved for the especially good caches and for our milestones.

    Left it in this cache by a feral cat "hotel;" in a park, a few little tents and supplies for cats are set up. What an ultimate cache for a cat memorial geocoin! Am thinking others might agree this is not only the ultimate cache for such a cat geocoin, but this cache may even serve as a home away from home (just as it is a home to feral cats), and this geocoin, if it travels away, could return here from time to time, or maybe even it can stay here?!?!? Has anyone seen such an alignment of geocion and cache?!

    Here are Volo (2-year old cockapoo) and Nosy Nora (4-month old flop-eared rabbit) with the Pepper Memorial Geocoin on February 5, 2008 here in Bucks County (southeast) Pennsylvania. Our 9-year old son Matt named his pets and I hope will be with me to place this geocoin in a cat cache: Feral Cat Hotel of Core Creek Park (word order may be off). Maybe that cache is so perfect for this geocoin it should stay there a while, or even make this its home to which it will return frequently?!?!?!?! :-)
