This bug would like to travel to the areas where the mudrun’s organizer, Heart of the Bride Ministries (http:// http://heartofthebride.org) has orphanages and partners: Crimea; Mare Rouge, Haiti; Bangalore, India, Kithianio and Naivasha Kenya and Kitwe, Zambia. Along the way, it would like to see venues for other obstacle course races, or just other places of interest. If it works out, it would be nice to occasionally make it back home for the annual mudrun, in May.
Since the caches you visit do NOT automatically post the verbiage from your log here, on the TB's log, PLEASE do a separate TB log entry for any TB related photos. Thanks!!
The Emerald Coast Mudrun (http://emeraldcoastmudrun.com/) whose slogan is “Get Muddy, Do Good” is a daylong series of mudrun obstacle course races held as the major annual fundraiser for a Niceville, FL based, international orphan care ministry. For the past eight years I have been blessed to have been part of the team to construct the obstacles. Previously, this TravelBug had another avatar and mission, but the figurine was not durable, was soon shelved and became dormant. I’ve recently been thinking about reactivating it and deciding on a new mission. With this year’s mudrun just ending, I came across this finisher tag and thought that making it a TB would be a wonderful way to combine two of my favorite endeavors - promote the charity event and geocache! My starting location, the multi-stage cache Harry Potter: Divinations (GC5TW99) is at the Northwest Florida State College, who has been gracious to let us hold the mudrun on its campus.
