This is a fitting one for the soapboxderbyfamily to move along. Race cars all the way! We took the bug to Oxford Plains Speedway - unfortunately the cache at the speedway is a nano so the bug visited and then was deposited elsewhere. Oxford Plains Speedway is the home of the 250 - billed as "The Richest Short Track Race in America". Last year's 250 was won by Kevin Harvick and the race has been run in years past by drivers such as Jeff Gordon, Ricky Craven, Geoff Bodine, Morgan Shepard, Chuck Bown. Richard Petty has served as Grand Marshall in the past and this year's Grand Marshall is Rusty Wallace. For a short track in rural Maine it really brings the names as they battle Saturday Night Racers for coveted 250 win. Maybe some year Jimmie Johnson will work up the courage to give it a try here.
