Current Goal

This TB is a wooden puzzle consisting of six pieces which must be put together in a particular 3D shape. When completed correctly, the TB will reveal the co-ordinates (in WGS84) of the A Gorge-ous Wooden Lymm cache in Lymm, Cheshire.

- Please do not take this TB more than around 50 miles from Cheshire, to give others a fighting chance.
- Please do not place in the 'A Gorge-ous Wooden Lymm' cache, for obvious reasons.
- When you drop off the TB, make sure all six pieces are in a bag together with the TB tag and card. Please take it apart before dropping it off.

Dropped Off 12/19/2010 schnuz placed it in #2 Withnell Circular - Boardwalk North West England, United Kingdom - .35 miles  Visit Log

Still out on the evening team walk, dropped this one off in one of my caches due to the size and no reliable way to guarentee that I'll be able to drop it off soon.

Thanks for a nice little puzzle, a great TB (and idea😉) and the possibility of a cache if I ever get to that area.

Cheers

Out with the team for an evening walk and needed to do a little bit of maintenance on this cache, it took nearly as long to cover the tracks afterwards, isn't snow great for an instant cachers trail? Due to size contraints and the fact that I won't be able to get it back closer to home I'm going to drop it off in one of mine.

Took the 'Lymm' to 'Ask for Cask - Houghton' I did this one as an extremely quick drive by with Jr O-C, but no team. A quick and easy find, didn't really need the GPSr for this one. took it back to the comfort of the car to sign the log, not a big enough cache for this one and even forgot to drop off another DOH! Set loose my first Geo Coin, nothing fancy for my first one! I even managed to jab a thorn right up the inside of my fingernail upon replacing the cache, it's still smarting now. I will drop this off soon, cache size and memory permitting😁.

A quick maintenance visit while we were in the area. I don't advise approaching this cache from above. No room at the inn, a likely story😁!

Looked in on the way past at this one (a micro so definately no chance to drop off), unfortunately it has been attacked by a small rodent and I've had to post a needs maintenance against it.

Out for a walk with the team and what a great day for it, bright and crisp, a little icy underfoot but not bad if your careful. Passed a couple of hikers who had decided to stop at one of the gun butts for a brew, not too bad, thought I, just far enough away not to rouse too much suspicion.

How wrong could I be😟! We got to the correct butt to find we had a fair distance to go through the tussocks, not too bad going at all next to the wall, I think sheep may have been following the wall and creating a path as they have a tendency to do. We got to around about GZ and looked back only to see that the aforementioned hikers had not only finished their brew break and followed up the behind us but had also decided to stop at the self same gun butt that the cache was near😟! They had cameras and binoculars out and looked like they were going to have a party at this and every butt in sight! Right well, carry on then, they'll get bored and move on shortly, yeah right! Only when we were about 200 feet past the cache site😟!

Returning back to GZ and low and behold three more walkers hove into view, I slowed down, pretended to pick up dog poo, finally decided to stop and have a little drink just past GZ to let them move past far enough. No such luck! A shout of hiya Andy and a wave! Only then I realised it was the family who lived across the road from us before we moved! I thought they were going to stop for me to join them but a few shouted pleasantries and a little play acting of difficulty walking through the tussocks paid off. They bid their farewells and I was again able to backtrack (just 50 feet this time) to GZ, if anyone else came I was going to dive into the tussocks and hide!

Back at GZ the GPSr was pointing me almost directly at the thing which I now know the clue states it's not in! I realised that the hide would not be there😎 so started the search at the wrong side of it to begin with. As the GPSr started to tell me I was probably in error I returned back to the non hide and almost immediately thought aye aye, that looks promising, and so it was! I do so like to be clueless😁! A quick signing before anyone else turned up and the cache was replaced exactly as found.

Still no room for this TB

Out for a walk with the team on a nice bright crisp day. Just passing by 'the marker stone' really but couldn't remember the size of the cache so I thought I'd check to see if I could drop off this off. No chance that it will fit in this cache so on to the next. There were some crazy ATBers out and about trying to cycle up hill on sheet ice, some of it had thawed a little but still a recipe for disaster.
