I have two goals:
1)_Take and post a picture of me next to the same make, year, and model of car on which I was originally installed. For some of you this will be a mystery to be solved (look to "About this item" for some clues)
2)_I want to travel up and down Historic Route 66 (or what’s left of it anyway).
In the early 1960's my parents packed our family and belongings into our new wagon and headed out of the Mid West to California via “The Mother Road”, Route 66.
Later as a teenager I had her (this station wagon) as my first car (some of you know what a first car means to a teenage boy). While it was a great relationship, college, responsibility, and women brought this relationship to an end.
Many years later I found the same exact car abandoned on the road and rescued it from the scrap company. With much love and devotion I restored it to the condition I had originally hoped to. Tragically, it was again taken from me and now all I have left is this knob and fond memories.
Knowing that I’ll never have her back again I am setting this last piece of her free in the hopes that it will find memories I can again share.
