About This Item

Dad

This bug was created in memory of my father Duane O. Reynolds who decided to take his own life on January 21, 2007 my fifteenth birthday was only 26 days away. The little car attached represents an unopened 1995 limited edition car. There is a picture of it with the travel bug on the internet. This car is 1:18 scale Die Cast Stock car with an opening hood and engine. My father got me this car when I was very little. My hope for this travel bug is for it to travel to every state here in the United States.

States visited as of 11/15/08 Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio, Rhode Island, Utah.

We were not sure if the goal of Dad was to visit just caches or every state in the United States. If the last one is a goal, we took Dad from Florida to Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas and now Nebraska.

Dropped this TB in cache GCllGE4 (called What's Up Doc?) which was our first cache in Louisiana. We registered it there and continued on our way back to Nebraska so it can add some states. We next dropped it in Arkansas in cache called Off Your Rocker. We took pictures of it and then continued on our way to Nebraska. We will drop this in a cache here as soon as possible. The car attached to this tag does not look anything like the picture of the car as it started. We will try to print a picture of it as soon as we can.

We retrieved this TB from Scout's Honor #l but it looks nothing like the original picture of the car although it has the TB chain and number attached. We will take it back to Nebraska with us traveling in several states along the way and will place it as soon as we get back.
