10:30am - I was looking for some caches with geocoins listed in them to visit this spring and noticed Mr. Bumby (TBH1W2) which by the way is the very geocoin I left in “The Lizard King” geocache on 8/31/2009 going on five years ago. So I thought I should investigate and maybe rescue “Mr. Bumpy” even though the cache log shows one other visitor since then on 5/1/2010. So off I went at 9:00am on a very nice cool morning to rescue “Mr. Bumpy”. Let me tell you “The Lizard King” cache is a pretty good hike for a almost 67 year old fat guy! So I’m not very appreciative of a so called geocacher that takes a geocoin and doesn’t log taking that coin, leaving it still showing it’s still in a cache that is .4 miles and 600 feet vertical from the closest parking, let alone nearly ¾ mile and 600 feet from where I parked. 😟 I am posting a picture of the log by the culprit that took “Mr. Bumpy” and didn’t post log taking it, and also didn’t even post log finding “The Lizard King” cache, so no credit either way for this "muggel". Way to go “James K. Polk” and way to show your boys to be conscientious geocachers and probably stewards of anything! I request either “Red Cap the Druid” or the owner of the geocoin “Mr. Bumpy” to show it missing from “GC1CVNJ The Lizard King” so some other unsuspecting geocacher doesn’t get suckered into this exhausting hike.

The picture is of "horsemann" here with "oldironnut and gandks" at the GC1CYNJ "The Lizard King" cache. The cache is only .27 miles from the day use area below but we approached it from the West Fork of Mink Creek about 1 mile up and over a saddle from the south. The saddle is about .21 miles and about the same elevation as the cache. I wonder if any other cachers will venture up to this one before winter snows bury it.
