Current Goal

To see how the other half lives—the freshwater half, that is! With special technology developed by his friend, Cache Cowfish (GC15BRJ), Eddy is able to leave his saltwater home! He wants to explore lakes and meet their inhabitants in all their diversity and study them and their cultures. Thanks to Cowfish’s technology, Eddy will not eat his subjects or human users of lakes. (It’s still safe to go into the water!) Please help Eddy by taking him to lakes—mountain ones, briny ones, swampy ones, large ones, small ones, deep ones, shallow ones, resort ones or secluded ones. Pictures would be appreciated so that we can be sure that Eddy is studying hard! ; )

We took Eddy out to a Mexican restaurant in Bucerias by the ocean and he was fidgetty the whole meal. We had no choice but to go down to the beach and satisfy his cravings. The salt water didn't agree with his skin and he quite willingly rejoined us to continue his journey.

  • ... memories .. A taste of the Pacific.
Retrieve It from a Cache 8/13/2008 Blkbeard&the5pirates retrieved it from Up or Down Manitoba, Canada   Visit Log

Found him on top of a ski hill over looking Falcon Lake, Manitoba. He wasn't too much out of water because it is summer and Manitoba ski hills are just hic-cups on the prairies. Plan to take him fishing to meet some relatives.
K's first geocache find with a bonus!

I took a picture of Eddy at Winter Whiteshell (GC10G6Q) but he didn't fit there (and it wasn't real close to the water). Then I took him to Beach Near the Mitchell's (GCWZQK) and took another picture. I'm pretty sure that Eddy didn't fit in there either, so I finally took him to Up or Down (GCYVPG) or it may have been Beginning or End (GCYVPR).
I definitely have to take better notes.

Eddy didn't spend much time in the Lake of the Woods but we'll probably move him to the Whiteshell in a few days.

We're on our way to the Northwest Angle so we'll drop this TB there and regrab him so that we can properly log him before we let him loose again.

Thanks to Roarmeister for bringing along to share at our 1st Ever CITO Event here today in Saskatoon. This is a KOOLL TB. We were down in Costa Rica a couple of years ago and we took a side trip up to Nicaragua--there was a Freshwater lake there and it had Freshwater Sharks in it--huge lake and no one could swim in it--never heard of that before.
Hope Eddy gets around to lots of caches in the future. GO EDDY GO!
Thanks for Sharing
