My husband and I moved from Ohio to Central Florida in August of this year. In October we discovered the sport of Geocaching. This is a very interesting sport with different levels for all ages. It takes you to places near your area that are not noticed by most people in the rush of daily life. The fun is the find, not the treasure, but little trinkets are included, in some, to make it a little more like a treasure hunt. When we came across the Jeep 4x4 in a cache, on the Van Fleet Trail, I was so surprised. There it was, under rocks, under a bridge, just six feet away from the Green Swamp. I was sure it had to be planted after the hurricanes. I was glad to see it wasn't destroyed by the swelling water. It was an easy find and an exciting one. We have found several beautiful parks and lakes, that we didn’t know were around us. We love the outdoors, and like to spend time in the forests around Central Florida. This includes both the Withlacoochee, and the Ocala State Forest. There are many caches in these areas. Our only problem is our newest vehicle is a 1983 Van. I don’t think it will last much longer as we are pretty rough on it. It is not the prefect vehicle for off road riding. A Jeep would sure serve the purpose. It would make our neighbors happier, seeing a newer vehicle in our driveway. What a nice surprise gift this would be for my husband on our 42nd Anniversary on the 24th of November.
