I am looking for "LONG." According to the Wikipedia, "Many butterflies migrate over long distances. Particularly famous migrations being those of the Monarch butterfly from Mexico to North America, a distance of about 4,000 to 4,800 kilometres (2500-3000 miles). Other well known migratory species include the Painted Lady and several of the Danaine butterflies. Spectacular and large scale migrations associated with the Monsoons are seen in peninsular India."

  • On the Gold Coast Australia This isn't exactly where we hid the butterfly, but it is a beautiful spot, and is looking back towards where we hid it, near the buildings in the distance. That is Surfers Paradise, and we are at Burleigh Heads.
  • Flutterby Fantasy This store is in Canungra, in the Gold Coast hinterland in Queensland Australia. We saw the store, and just had to take a picture with the travel bug, for obvious reasons. :)

Picked this up out of Bunyip woods today. We could hear it calling to us, wanting to migrate to Australia. We are heading there in a week so we will find a good Aussie home for it.
