We are from the Kalamazoo Michigan area and will be releasing this coin somewhere in Australia. I would really like for this coin to Travel to some of my favorite World Cup Soccer countries and visit some soccer games. If you could post yourself holding the coin at some games that would be greatly appreciated.
I would Like for this coin to Travel to the following countries with World Cup Soccer Teams
Australia Brazil Ireland
Germany England Italy
France Argentina
You may add any country you wish and these countries are in no particular order so please don't take offense.
Now that this coin is no longer in the USA I realized that many of you may have no idea what the Mackinac Bridge is.
The Mackinac Bridge (pronounced Mackinaw) was opened for business in 1957. The bridge connects the Upper and Lower peninsulas of Michigan and spans the Straits of Mackinac which is the waterway between Lake Michigan to the west and Lake Huron to the east. The bridge often called "Mighty Mac" spans a total of five miles and is the longest suspension bridge between anchorages in the western hemisphere. I see this bridge at least once every year on my way to fish in Canada and it still amazes me every time I see it. The Anchors for the suspension wires are visible for several miles while travelling from the south and they now share the skyline with two huge energy producing windmills.
Prior to the bridge being opened in 1957 the only two ways to get the the Upper Peninsula were to drive through Chicago, Illinois, through Wisconsin and in to the western half of the "U.P." or to wait in line for the ferry to take you across the "Straits" I have been told that at busy times of the year people sometimes waited 2 or 3 days to get on the ferry.
