Geocache Description:

This is the 5th in a series of Geocaches that will map out the routes of the famous road race - The Targa Florio.

The Targa Florio was an open road endurance race held in the mountains of Sicily near Palermo. Founded in 1906, it was the oldest sports car racing event, part of the World Sportscar Championship between 1955 and 1973. The Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie was used from 1932-1936 and 1951-1977. It was 72 kilometres (45 mi) long, and was lapped 11 times.

To follow the Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie, then you will need to find caches "Targa Florio 01, 02, 03, 04, & 05". If these first caches prove popular, then I will add more to mark out the other routes used.

Full List:

Targa Florio 01
Targa Florio 02
Targa Florio 03
Targa Florio 04
Targa Florio 05

Targa Florio 05 will take you to the town of Campofelice Di Roccella. On approach to the town, the one way system will take you off the route of the race. However from the central piazza, with cache location behind you, you can see the long, straight street that brought the cars into the town.

This is micro (nano) magnetic due to the town centre location. Some stealth may be rquired.
This series of caches is not designed to be difficult to find, so the hint and spoiler photo should lead you right there once at GZ.

As this is the final cahe to mark the Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie, to complete the circuit follow the SS113 towards Palermo and take the Cerda turn off back to "Targa Florio 01". Alternatively, just head to the beach.
