Disappointed by Jenny Craig, Dr. Phil or Weight Watchers? The South
Beach, Atkins, Grapefruit, and other diets just don’t seem to help
in shedding and keeping off those unwanted pounds?
Regular physical activity is an important part of effective weight
loss and weight maintenance. Before you consider liposuction or
bariatric surgery, why not make caching a part of your weight loss
program?
Note: there is NOT a cache at the above coordinates.
Join us in our quest to find the The Biggest Loser!
This is the last in a series of nine caches in Connecticut designed
to help motivate you to change your lifestyle to become a better,
healthier you. The cache finds are not intended to be difficult. Do
one cache each week for 9 weeks. If you miss a week, that’s OK.
It’s important you keep moving and burn those calories.
The final, ninth cache in this series is a simple puzzle cache and
requires information obtained at the other caches. The order you
complete the caches is not important. You MUST COMPLETE ALL
caches in the series to get credit for the final. Look for
information to complete the following coordinates:
N AB CD.EFG W HIJ KL.MNO
Once solved, we recommend you park near these coordinates to begin
your trek. Yes, you may find closer spots to park for a shorter
hike. This, of course, defeats the purpose of burning off that
unwanted fat.
Participation in the following aspect of the series is completely
optional. But remember, anyone attempting this series is a loser…
uh, we mean a WINNER!
Record your weight before you start the series. Weigh yourself
without your hiking boots; be consistent in how you weigh yourself.
Continue weighing yourself throughout this series to monitor your
progress. After completing the series, get your final weight. Your
percent weight loss equals the amount lost divided by your initial
weight times 100. Example: initial weight = 200 lbs, final weight =
180 lbs. Percent weight loss = (200-180)/200 x 100 = 5 %. The
Biggest Loser’s caching name and percent weight loss will be posted
on the final cache page in the series.
On to the cache….
This journey takes you to the
McLean Game Refuge near Granby. The terrain is flat to steep
hills. There is no need to bushwhack; there are well-marked trails
for the entire hike. You will need to find information along the
way to get to the next waypoint. There are NO NASTY MICROS
to complicate your journey. The answers are provided in the hints
if you have trouble finding the information. The hike is
approximately six miles. A helpful map of the park’s trails is at:
trail
map. Be sure to check out the other caches in the area while
you are there.
