This deal was initiated by two brothers from London, the younger George liked but his big brother was certainly not to be trusted. They were supplying "British grown" produce to a large chain of hotels and resaraunts in Russia who charged a premium for English cuisine. The fruit and veg however came from where it was cheapest and little problems like out of season produce was never a problem. The enterprise seemed to have broken a losing streak for the brothers and George helped supply what they could not sorce. They began to think the sky's the limit as the orders kept coming. George had a steady supply of mange tout coming from Venezuela even though it was January, one of the airlines had spare capacity and gave him a good deal. One day however George had a phone call from the brothers saying the Russians are coming to meet some of the producers. George was not surprised and agreed to shaparone the visitors. Some of the produce came from a company with a large glasshouse complex, and George hurridly arranged a visit. The main crops were tomatoes and lettuice with an automated watering and feeding system. The Russians were suitably impressed but wanted to have another look and see the lettuce harvester in action. The second time around led to more questions about other crops and George was pleased to get them away for some lunch. In the afternoon the visited some cabbage and cauliflower fields one with a line of men like a chain gang harvesting into boxes. This met with approval from the visitors who were more familiar with outdoor farming. The forman offered the Russians a mug of tea, this certainly was a good move and tea for three seemed to clinch the deal and they went back to their hotel happy. George got straight on the phone to the brothers. "Who wants to be a millionaire, you know it never rains on George Kashing." He bragged.

Can you find any further information. This deal could have wider implications?
