Insidious I - Failsafe is an Option Multi-Cache

emmett: It is time to finish with archiving my caches. I understand some may be interested in completing this series. The containers are still out there as far as I know so you can still log finds but I will not be doing any maintenance. I don’t want them listed on GC.com any longer and will not be working on any of them unless and until I have the time to modify and publish these as new caches on another site.

The Insidious series has been created to provide a variety of tough tests, especially suited for those who prefer more of a challenge. For those not inclined to tackle this series at maximum difficulty, an alternate, easier means of conquering the Insidious collection is available by acquiring the "hidden secrets" available at Insidous VI. About this hunt:

Insidious: awaiting a chance to entrap; treacherous.

Failsafe: incorporating some feature for automatically counteracting the effect of an anticipated possible source of failure.

The coordinates provided at the top of the page will take you to a kiosk at the end of Langelier Road in Marlborough. Follow the trail from the parking spot and bear left at your first fork. This will take you to a trail that circles the area. Travel the trail in a counterclockwise direction to the summit.

Once at the top, you’ll find a bench nearby a stately old tree. Mark a waypoint at this bench.

Stage One is a micro container that has the west coordinates for the final cache along with the precise coordinates for Stage Two.

It is located at +006 north and -039 west from the bench.

Stage Two is a micro container with the north coordinates for the final cache along with the precise coordinates for Stage One.

It is located at +026 north and +011 west from the bench.

Once you have found both containers you’ll have the full coordinates for Stage Three, a smaller than average size cache.

For those who who cannot complete the requirements of this hunt, I have provided a “failsafe” or alternate means of enjoyment.

In the general vicinity of Stage One is an average size container with some trade items and a log book. If you find it, you are welcome to make a trade and/or sign in, but this will not qualify as a “find.”

Important: Please hide the Stage One and Two micros exactly in the same manner you found them. Each stage has to be secure as originally hidden to assure that animal activity and/or the weather does not disrupt the hides.
