WASMISS AT SIXTY

This series of caches has been placed to celebrate Wasmiss reaching the milestone age of sixty. Each traditional cache celebrates a decade in her life. By collecting the codes at the top of each of the six logsheets, you’ll be able to find the Bonus cache for the series.

The first six caches are being published on the last day of Wasmiss’s fifties, whilst the bonus will only be published on the first day of her sixties.

1969 - Robin Knox-Johnston sails solo non-stop around the world.

- Apollo 11 lunar module with & Armstrong/Aldrin lands on the moon.
- Monty Python's Flying Circus first airs on BBC One.
1970 - Brazil defeats Italy 4–1 to win the 1970 FIFA World Cup help in Maxico.
- Apollo 13 accident in space, and subsequent safe return to Earth.
- Rocket-powered Blue Flame to an official land speed record at 622.407 mph.
- North Tower of the World Trade Center is worlds tallest building at 1,368 feet.
1971 - Decimalisation Day: – The UK & Ireland switch to decimal currency.
- Evel Knievel sets a world record and jumps 19 cars in Ontario, California.
- Mount Etna erupts on the island of Sicily, Italy.
- Walt Disney World opens in Orlando, Florida.
1972 - The RMS Queen Elizabeth is destroyed by fire in Hong Kong harbor.

1973 - The UK enter the European Economic Community.
