WASMISS AT SIXTY

This series of caches has been placed to celebrate Wasmiss reaching the milestone age of sixty. Each traditional cache celebrates a decade in her life. By collecting the codes at the top of each of the six logsheets, you’ll be able to find the Bonus cache for the series.

The first six caches are being published on the last day of Wasmiss’s fifties, whilst the bonus will only be published on the first day of her sixties.

- TV presenter Jill Dando is shot dead on the doorstep of her Fulham home.
- A total solar eclipse is seen in Europe and Asia
2000 - New Millennium celebrations occur throughout the world
- Dr. Harold Shipman imprisoned for murdering patients
- Concorde aircraft, crashes into a hotel in Gonesse just after takeoff from Paris
- The 2000 Summer Olympics are held in Sydney, Australia.
2001 - 2001 UK foot-and-mouth crisis
- Russian space station Mir deorbit and crash into the Pacific Ocean.
- 9/11 terrorist attacks on World Trade Centre and pentagon.
- The iPod is first introduced by Apple.
2002 - Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom
- The 2002 Winter Olympics are held in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
- Princess Margaret and The Queen Mother both die.
