About This Item

I picked up these spunky-traveling Kippers at the Sarge II cache (WGS-84) in Kirkwood, New York in July of 2002. They've been bouncing around with me and keeping me company all summer and now that they've been fitted with a travel bug, they're ready to head out on their own. The Kippers were originally released in September of 2000 at the "Kippers in the Jungle Cache" (N 55deg 45.244 E 12deg 26.554) near Copenhagen, Denmark and they've been heading west ever since. Please take care of these guys, they've been traveling for a long time, and they've still got a lot of sights to see. Happy caching,

Bowerbird

wildturkey101 gave me this travel bug after he had had it for several months. I had started geocaching and told him that I would move it to a, "bug motel," which I did a few days ago. I placed it in the South Weber geocache travel bug motel and logged it in the book. I do believe that this bug needs to go west to get home. Thanks and Happy travels!

Good Cache hunt! Bad find. Bugs bad, while filling in log my little buddy popped the can lid!
Had to trash the fish. Kept cover & tag. Bringing it out to Utah Saturday to see the GEO-Doc.

Wow, The park is big. Until I got out my GPS we were driving around looking around for a small park to sit & eat lunch, watch the kids on the slide & swings. Lunch got cold as we drove. Never thinking to use the GPS because we were in a city.
GPS got us there! Bugs, mosquitos got us out.
As I filled in the log while fighting off the bugs, my little buddy popped the lid on the sardines. Sorry!!
Your call now. I had to chuck the fish. Kept the lid & bug tag. Our plan was to help kipper get out west. Saturday we're heading to Utah! Quite the oportunity!
If we had time, (dont because we have to pack), I'd play doctor & come up with something. I'll pack it up for the trip. Utah has some cool GEO-Doc's out there.
Nice to Cache in the city!
Thanks
Erkimin

  • Poor kipper!.JPG Wish a coyote or bear opened the can. But no, I'm responsible!

Kipper will be in Utah Saturday!
  • kipper emptied!.JPG Would you have eaten it?
It's been lucky no wild animal got it earlier! Not my decision though. Mine was a mis-hap!

I was not expecting to see these attached to a "Travel Bug". My Mom wanted to take them home for dinner (no lie) :)
