About This Item

The Cincy Duck

The duck traveled with us for the last 25 caches we have done. We have released him into the wild on October 4th when we found our 100th cache, the Squirrel's Paradise. Since Jeremy had some evil looking ducks released, we thought it might be nice to release this very friendly duck to the wild! Have fun with him and the more pictures the better! Good luck little duck!

My mom (71) and dad (73) came with me to find a cache in Arizona where they live. There was Cincy, buried under a pile of rocks in a large PVC pipe cache. I'll be taking Cincy to Colorado with me in a few dyas and will let him go there. It'll put Cincy over the 10,000 mile mark.

We picked up The Cincy Duck from the I-17 Traveler cache and are taking him to play in the snow with us and then to the Grand Canyon. We will take him back to Phoenix and place him in a cache soon.

After bringinging the Cincy Duck along with his pal Geo Joe to the Grand Canyon, I plan to drop them off somewhere near Sedona, assuming I can find a cache that is large enough to hold them (it's been tough to find one big enough so far)!

I sought out the Duck today - it called to me - since I was born in Cincinnati 40 years ago! How did this duck find me in San Diego? ;-)

I haven't yet decided whether to place it in my first cache - 'Bike to the Coast - Part 1' at the other end of this bike path - or try to move it to North Carolina over Christmas vacation. Unfortunately, only my daughter is going to North Carolina, and I probably won't send the GPSr with her...

So we'll see. The Duck will travel!

The duck was rather squashed in the small cache container, so we rescued him. He'll be off to San Diego next.
