Current Goal

The Merry Spork (TM) would like to travel around the world, visiting as many cities and countries as possible. She would love to have her picture taken with interesting people and in interesting places--especially if the people and places are wacky, creative, colorful, fun, irreverent, peculiar or silly.
*FIRST REQUESTED DESTINATION--a cache in Pennsylvania, called There Is No Spoon.

About This Item

MerrySpork1a.JPG

The Merry Spork (TM) is a stainless steel spork (cross between a spoon and a fork), approximately 6 inches tall. Another name for spork is "ice cream fork." Like all true sporks, ours has a bowl and tines, and is therefore useful for eating many kinds of foods, both liquid and solid. This little gem has been the starter for spork soup, the making of which requires ingredient contributions from many people.
If you love silliness, you'll love the Merry Spork (TM). Take her with you, and show her the world!

Blind_Squirrel was using the spork to crack open nuts... which is not safe. So I grabbed it from him.

So after much nagging, I finally took Merry around to the carousels. Except silly me, I forgot she couldn't even get close to them until Memorial Day, let alone go for a ride. Needless to say, she was a little upset about that. Therefore, she decided to find a new buddy to travel with.

Seems like bad luck with weather is following Merry Spork around. We lost MANY caches in the area due to flooding. As soon as it dries out a bit, she'll find a new cache home.

  • Flood Survivor Luckily there was a nearby branch to grab on, or she might have been swept away in the torrential current. Note the pavilion in the background.

Picked this poor girl up in the rain. Taking her to upstate NY for a ride on a carousel, not that it's any less rainy there :).
