I was by here several months ago to do the nearby Geology Geocache #5. The park was closed at the time so I didn't proceed on to this one. I should have, it was closer than I thought.

After scoring the nearby Lighthouse Point cache, we made our way north to do this one. Amazing views like always in the Deception Pass Area.

I was a bit apprehensive about this one. The best way to overcome that is peer pressure! I did this one with a decent sized group of cachers.

The scramble down the cliff was about what I thought it would be. I pretty much just scooted down on my hinnie!

Going up the ladder was not anywhere near as scary as I thought it would be. Going over the top was the hardest part and that was just because the GPS dangling in front of me caught in the ladder. I handed it to someone else and made it over the top easily.

We found the cache fairly quickly after waiting for everyone to make it to the top. There is a Yellow Jacket nest close by. We didn't discover it ourselves but some muggles that came by after us did... the hard way.

Going DOWN the ladder on the other hand was the hardest part. I finally put my fears behind me, and made it over the edge and down to the bottom.... not that I had a choice.

Going back up the cliff was a breeze because someone had thought ahead and brought a rope! I'm sure it could have been done without the rope, but it sure made the hike back up easier.

This cache has definatly made it onto my list of Favorites!

Took the Spidy TB, left two more (Take me to your Leader and Roller Derby) in it's place; plus a mermaid in a bottle.

think I was first to arrive, but almost immediatly made a big mistake.... I locked my keys in the truck. I didn't even notice everyone show up and gather for the hike to the cache. Finally I see this big group set out down the trail and figure I better get going.

It didn't take me long to catch up. The hike to the cache was easier than I expected, and the scramble down the cliff was fairly easy. Well.... I wont repeat my log for that cache here.

The Ice-Cream and Brownies were cool.....litterally. To much dry ice caused us to have to chip off the ice cream from the block :)

Thanks to Belleterre for scheduling this event and a special thanks to her and Bumbling B's for hanging around and using her AAA card to get me back into my truck or I might still be there!

Found this one on the way back down from "The World as Runhills Likes To See It".

I really need to read the cache page before searching for these caches. I searched for some time before calling the Geocaching Help Line! Pepper directed me to where I had already been looking, but then reminded me that the cache was a Micro.

Thanks Pepper... thats what I needed. I found it quickly once I knew I wasn't searching for an Ammo Box 🙂

Darn it.... I did it again! For the second time in a week, I left my Treking Pole near the cache site. I really need to quit doing that. 👎 Well it's to far to go back for a $20 pole so....

I was very disappointed when I returned home from the TCCM and discovered that there had been a Moun10Bike coin in one of the caches I did on sunday and I either didn't see it someone beat me to it. It had only been placed in the cache an hour or so before I got there.

Then I found out that Moun10Bike had placed one in this cache on his way home. Still.... I was at work and couldn't leave. Hours passed and I just knew someone was going to beat me to it! Finally I completed at least the things I absolutly needed to do for the day and snuck out early.

I drove straight to the cache at the legal limit (or perhaps even a bit above). As I was getting close to the cache, I passed another vehicle coming down the hill. Damn..... I just knew it.... someone beat me. But it wasn't anyone I recognized so perhaps....

I found the cache easily! YES!!! The Coin was still there! Traded the Moun10Bike coin for a Canadian Geocoin and also swapped TB's.

The view's from up here are AWESOME!

(BTW: On the way back down I passed another vehicle on the way up. It was GeoROO! Sorry GeoROO, I got the coin )

Will log the coin as soon as M10B activates it and drops it here.

I didn't even need the GPS to do this one. Thanks for the easy find.

My last cache of the day before I had to head towards home. This was a nice walk along the river. The cache was well hidden, but still fairly easy to find.

There was a father and his son at the Gravel Pit sighting in their rifles for the upcoming hunting season. We had a brief conversation about GPS units, as the father was considering one for hunting and fishing.

I found the cache easily. It's in good shape.
