    Gilded Cage: Headed home after a weekend of camping with my Girl Scouts. My girls wanted to grab one more cache before we left. (OK. I *might * have suggested it). On the way to GZ from the car we learned about cow pies. Great teachable moment. Anyway, we loved the cache container although one of my girls thought it was creepy. I’m giving it a favorite point nonetheless.

    Mataguy Revisited-Bridge to Kumyaay: we are camping here at Beaver campsite with my Girl Scout Troop and hiked past here last night to see the amazing night sky. Today at lunch, I took a small walk over to grab this cache.

    I love the 80s-Another Brick in the Wall: I really do live in the 80s. Duran Duran is my favorite band, though. As I approached GZ, there was no parking nearby on either side of the street. Ended up parking at the shopping center and walking down. Found a suspicious rock and made the grab.

    Wake Me Up, Scotty: Headed to South Park for my COTD. I’m a trekker and actually met William Shatner (aka Captain Kirk) twice. Was able to park right next to GZ and made the grab easily.

    Leisure Lagoon: Stopped for my COTD before my canoe training at MBYAC. Like I said, I prefer the coast. Only 79 degrees today. A bunch of us Girl Scouts are going on a canoe trip down the Colorado River later this month and I can’t wait. (I’ll also be able to grab another State souvenir for caching).

    Seat of Power: Had to come to Goodyear, Arizona today for a funeral of a dear friend. We left San Diego this morning and got here a little early so stopped for a nearby cache. Found this one quickly after the hint as my cords were bouncing all around. Not used to 113 degrees. I’ll take the coast any day.
