Yet another lake district Blea water,this one stands to the west of Rough crag,the tarn stands at 1585 feet ASL.
This Blea tarn standing dramatically below Bleawater crags.
Only lake Windermere and Wastwater are deeper for Blea tarn has the distinction of being the deepest tarn in the Lakes
the depth of Blea water is 207 feet.

This is the nearest cache to Cunswick Tarn which is around a quarter of a mile away downhill.Cunswick Tarn stands at an altitude of 446 Feet ASL the tarn is 10Feet deep.
The tarn is hidden from view whilst walking the scar ridge to the East but can we accessed through the woods  and is worth the effort.

A Tour of Monk Coniston Moor - Tarn

High up in a beautiful mountain location is Bowscale tarn on the walk is easy to this point from the hamlet of Bowscale where free parking is available,from the tarn which stands at 1565,the tarn is said to harbor 2 immortal trout,legend has is that they have the power of speech.
From the tarn the walk can be continued to Bowscale summit this route is described by Wainwright in Book 5 The Northern Fells (Bowscale fell 7)

Boretree tarn stands at 780 FEET ASL and has a depth of around 40 FEET.In the eighteenth century 3 smaller tarns were dammed here to create the present tarn.

This very worthy addition to the "By Gum" series of caches by Martlakes Freya and Saffie is at Gummers How Tarn,named after the Fell on which it stands,the very nicely situated former reservoir stands at 650 Feet ASL.
