An effort to restore 8 acres of wetlands.  The wetlands are home to many species of birds and other wildlife.  

Beaver Dam Creek Restoration Project Earthcache

A very large, flat-topped boulder located at the shore of [b]Caumsett State Park[/b].  The boulder is a glacial erratic and shows evidence of ice transport.  Caumsett State Park is located on a [b]tombolo[/b], connected to Long Island by a very small strip of land.

This earth cache features a description the granitic rock deposits on Long Island's beaches due to glacial action.  One of the deposited minerals is [b]magnetite[/b], which is magnetic.

A tour of a bluff in [b]Sands Point Preserve[/b].  Explores the erosion of the bluff.  Quite interesting.
