Introduction
Dosido and I have enjoyed some of the more 'cache rich' areas,
and trips we've taken to visit them - especially JestJuggle's
School House Brook Park collection, FLalaMingo's
Five Bridges caches, and Crop Circle's
CRC caches.
This cache is part of a group of caches in the Palmer Wildlife
Management Area off of Rondeau Road. It is a nice area for hiking,
bird watching and - if you have young kids - frog watching, or
skimming stones. The trails here are mostly 4WD type, with rocks
and ruts. Kids should have no problem walking the trails. Dosido
put some there a few months back. As he said "Spending a few hours,
or an afternoon geocaching and exploring without having to drive
all over the place is a real treat, and we hope you enjoy this
area". His nearby caches describe the area better than I can, so if
you have not done so, visit the pages for his caches. This cache is
one of my contributions to this wonderful area!
Neem een potlood?
What is a "potlood"? You will have to visit the cache to find
out. Some people fiddle with them, some chew them, some break them.
They are very useful for tests, where you should bring 2, just
incase. You will have to have one to get credit for this cache, but
please don't use the ones here! These are for you to take. Neem een
potlood!
The Cache Proper
No tricks or puzzles, no climbing, or red herrings, just a
traditional .50 cal. ammo can, hidden in the traditional way. I
have filled the cache with all kinds of "potloods": old, new, red,
blue, ones for kids, ones for adults, some have tops, some don't.
If you've done Dosido's
Fox Hill Micro, you'll know just the place to park!
Update 10/2008 Container switched out... now a Lock-N-Lock.
