Cache is not at the posted coordinates! Posted coordinates are for
parking only.
This should be an easy find, but you cannot log a find on the
cache page without following the additional logging requirements.
Failure to do do WILL result in deletion of your find with no
warning or explanation. Actually the explanation is here: You
didn't follow instructions!
This cache was inspired by both
You want me to do what? and the locationless
Scavenger Hunt Cache. I had fun logging the locationless and
watching the logs, so I thought I'd reproduce it here (as others
have across the country) in mystery form.
To receive credit for a find, you must do all of the
following:
- Sign the logbook.
- Perform the current task which was assigned by the previous
finder. Confirmation of the task must be in your log.
- Assign a new task. Please post this with your found
log.
Failure to do all of the above will result in an immediate
deletion of your log!
What is a task? It can be anything you want the next finder to
do, within reason. Examples of the additional logging requirements
could be
- take a photo of yourself dressed as a pirate
- stop a passerby and have them pose with your GPS for a
picture
- post your find as a haiku
- look for an idea in the two above listed caches
- ... it's up to you!
The task can be performed at the cache site (take a picture of
yourself dressed as a pirate at the cache site), or elsewhere (take
a picture of yourself shaking hands with a Wal*Mart greeter who is
holding your GPS.)
Tasks must be verifiable by posting a photo of yourself
performing the task (if required), or following the logging
requirements set by the previous finder.
Because the task will be constantly changing, I will allow
multiple finders to perform the same task as long as their "found
it" (or "note it" if you're so inclined) logs are posted within 12
hours of the first finder. If you post a find after that, your log
will be deleted. The first person to complete the logging
requirements on line will get to set the next task.
I reserve the right to request a new task, or assign a new
task, if the current task is not reasonable or appropriate.
For example, a task requesting a picture of yourself shaking hands
with Donald Trump most likely would be rejected as would any task
that isn't family friendly.
The cache coordinates are located as an additional waypoint of
this cache. They are not at the posted coordinates so people don't
log a find on the physical cache and claim they didn't know about
the additional logging requirements.
Please make sure you return the cache to a position where it
will stay put.
