Cache #5 in my series celebrating the release of Harry Potter and
the Deathly Hallows
The path was becoming increasingly overgrown and the trees grew
so closely together as they walked farther and farther into the
forest that it was as dark as dusk. They were soon a long way past
the clearing where Hagrid had shown them the thestrals, but Harry
felt no sense of unease until Hagrid stepped unexpectedly off the
path and began wending his way in and out of trees towards the dark
heart of the forest.
-- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,
2003

Harry ended up in the forest a few times during the course of this
book. I really wish that he had taken to looking for things smaller
than giants!
I found this location while out on a run, and knew that Harry would
have liked it too, even though he probably would have whined about
it during the Order of the Phoenix.
The cache is just off the path, less than 10 feet. Be careful of
vegetation in the area. When you replace it, make sure it isn't
visible from the path.
This cache is not accessible from the freeway. Don't even think
about it!
From the given parking waypoint, the walk is about a half mile.
This might be a good time to get your bike out! This path was built
during the 70s to promote health and alternative transportation.
It's a shame to see it become overgrown.
FTF prize is a gift certificate to Canton Cinemas on Ford Rd. Go
see the fifth Harry Potter movie on me when it open July 11th!
There is also an FTF token.
