Now that I have placed eight caches between the
Bedford Depot and 128, I decided to put out a few more south of
128. This is the first of those caches.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FINAL IS COVERED BACK UP
WHEN YOU LEAVE!
The Minuteman Bike Path (MBP)
The Minuteman Bikeway was built in 1992 over the "rail-banked"
Lexington Branch railroad corridor between Bedford and West
Cambridge, Massachusetts, which passes through suburban Lexington
and Arlington long the way. The trail received its name from the
fact that it closely follows the path of the colonial Minutemen
during the Battle of 1775.
Wizard Garden by Geometry
There is a puzzle cache located along the Minuteman Bike Path
called Wizard Garden (GCNZTH). When you solve that puzzle you are
taken to an interesting spot where there are a dozen odd paintings
hanging. The paintings all appear to be oil on wood. You do not
have to solve that puzzle to find this cache, but if you have you
will have a leg up on other cachers.
The Cache
At the posted coords you will find two more of those odd paintings.
(There is a third that has been painted over in white.) In one
painting the central character’s body is green and the other
painting the central character’s body is red.
To find the final you have to fill in the correct numbers for
N42 27.XYZ W71 14.ABC.
A= One creature has arrows on the sign. How many
total?
B= The green creature has black lines dangling from its
underside and some antennae on top. How many total?
C= The creature with claws has a lot of legs and arms. Count
them and divide by two.
X= One creature has white dots on its back. Count them and
subtract four.
Y= Count the number of legs the green creature has and
divide by two.
Z= The green creature has black lines dangling from its
underside. How many total?
Good luck and good caching,
Congrats to gw0143 and Reztles on the
successful FTF run
