Geocache Description:

A traditional letterbox cache with a personally designed stamp. The stamp and stamp pad are to remain with the cache – let me know if the stamp pad starts to get at all dry. There are no trade items in this cache, but there is some room for small TBs or GCs.

The rules for this cache are simple:
1. If you wish, you can apply the enclosed cache stamp to your own record book (or accompanying kid’s hands)
2. You “stamp” the cache log book with your own personal stamp (not the cache stamp) – if you don’t have a stamp, then include a sticker, punch or a small drawing that represents your caching identity. A solely written log is not acceptable here!

The cache is a 1 litre sistema container, and is located under a small rock, under a much larger rock, in front of a large tree with the cat’s whiskers. If you bring young children with you, please watch them around the GZ – there is some old rusty iron sheeting not far from the cache site.

You can complete all three caches on this hill and return to the carpark in approximately one hour (walking). This final cache is a bit of a climb, but you do get to rest along the way while you visit the other two caches, so it isn’t too hard!

Directions for letterboxers: (please note it will be a greater challenge finding this cache without a GPSr, but should still be possible)
After parking at the Wallangara St playground, head down the short concrete path & through the two gates. Once the concrete path ends there is no formed path/trail and you will have approximately 900m to go. The cache is almost directly east – if you are searching in the early morning you should keep the sun slightly to your left.
You will initially walk through a lightly wooded area. After about 250m you will cross a small gully. The area then opens up, with less trees and more low bushes. After another 150m you will cross an old fence line – only the posts remain. After a short plateau, you will head uphill again for the last 300m, much of this area is fairly open grasslands.
With only 100m to go you will hit a wooded area again, and head uphill for the steepest part of the walk. You are looking for a steep rocky outcrop. Don’t be distracted by a small rocky outcrop further down the hill - there is still another 50m to go. You want to head for the right side of this rocky outcrop (it is not as steep on this side). If you see iron sheeting on the ground you are too far left. If you look for the tree with the cat’s whiskers you will be very close to the cache (see directions above). The tree is visible from some distance away.
