Geocache Description:

THIS IS A NIGHT ONLY CACHE.

This cache is situated in Illogan woods. It is a NIGHT TIME ONLY cache, which consists of 10 reflective markers and a final cache box. The co-ordinates will take you to the beginning of the trail, where you will find the first marker lit before you from a sorce of bright light (i.e a torch). You will have to look all around to ensure you do not miss the reflector,as if you mis-count,you will have major difficulty in finding the final location! From the first marker (which counts as number 1),you will have to follow the trail to find the next one and so-on. The markers are spaced of a relatively similar distance apart to try not to confuse anyone. At the 10th marker, you will find TWO reflective dots. To find the cache, you will have do decipher the clue!

You will see the reflective markers as round "dots".

The terrain can get very muddy, and you will have to be careful where you are putting your feet. Be careful not the fall into any rivers as there are a couple running through the woods!

There is a small parking area at the start of the trail, enough for about 2 cars.

Refreshments are available all year round in Illogan, with the towns of Camborne and Redruth both within 3 miles away. The path eventually leads to the seaside village of Portreath. The Portreath to Devoran Mineral Tramway coast to coast trail is nearby.

There is a small parking area outside the entrance to the woods on the roadside.

As this cache is recommended for night use only, there are a few things you have to take into account:

*Ensure that you have a partner to do this cache with, especially if you are unsure of the area.
*Bring adequete lighting - A good torch, and spare batteries. Remember to shine the torch all around you,to ensure you do not fall into a river or fall into some mud!!
*Remember to bring plenty of safety equipment with you - this includes a mobile phone,
*A good map of the area (I recommend the OS Explorer map 104 REDRUTH AND ST.AGNES area.),
*Spare batteries for GPS and torch,
*Plenty of warm clothing - it can get quite cold at night. *Even a flask of hot drink or soup.
*Print out the cache details as a good reference.
Remember - animals eyes are reflective too! So double check before you go running towards it!
And above all - HAVE FUN!!

***I must point out, that about half way to the final location, there is a concrete drainage system below foot. You should be able to easily walk over it,but take extra care when crossing as it is possible for it to get slippery when wet***
