Geocache Description:

CACHE IS LOCATED AT N44°AB.CDE W88°FG.HIJ

Being a war veteran, I am always the most intrigued by the veteran's monuments and headstones whenever I come to cemeteries for caching. This cemetery is no exception and is the final resting place of many serviceman as evidenced by all of the stoneside flags. Only a few of the stones define the specifics of service and you will come to know those few that have crossed over either while in service to our country or after they returned home.

A: Charlie Served at a Post Hospital during WWA.
B: Bernard served in the Air Force during WWII and returned home safely, passing away in 199B.
C: Arthur, from the East, survived WWI and was 80 when he passed in197C.
D: Edwin, born in 187D, served in the Spanish-American War with the US. Navy.
E: Marcus, who died in 193E, also served in the Spanish-American War but with Company G of the 2nd Infantry Division, US. Army.
F: This Charlie, died in 199F long after his service as a Colonial in WWII.
G: This Bernard survived WWII as well, passing away in 200G.
H: Corporal Cabot was killed in action, on the 18th of September, 194H in North Africa.
I: Simon, the surgeon, was born in 191I.
J: This relative of Bernard served in the same war, but not in the same branch of service. He died in 197J.

I have done enough cemeteries in winter to know how frustrating it can be to look for headstones when there is a foot of snow on the ground. A few of these may give you trouble in the middle of winter. If that is the case and when you are seeking this cache, if you get halfway through (5 of the 10 needed numbers), I will help you with the rest.

The final is NOT within the boundaries of the cemetery, but you still need to be conscience of where you are.

UPDATE 7.9.13: Revisited to confirm names and numbers, discovering a few more permanent military markers in the process, now incorporated into the puzzle. Subsequent modifications to puzzle made.
