Odysseus stealing the Palladium
Story so far
The Greeks, during their war against Troy, hear of three
different prophecies that specify necessary conditions for the
Greeks to win their war.
The last of these prophecies claims that Troy will not fall
unless the "Palladium" is removed from the city. The Palladium is a
statue of Pallas Athena, the goddess of wisdom. With the statue
within their city walls, the Trojans would enjoy Athena's
protection, and the city could never fall.
Thus, Ulysses (Odysseus), together with his companion Diomedes,
sets out to steal the Palladium from the Trojans:

(And Ulysses went with Diomedes by night to the city,
and there he let Diomedes wait,
and after disfiguring himself and putting on mean attire
he entered unknown into the city as a beggar.
And being recognized by Helen,
he with her help stole away the Palladium,
and after killing many of the guards,
brought it to the ships with the aid of Diomedes.

Cache description
The cache is a magnetic film-cannister sized container, and
contains a logbook and a pencil.
This cache is part of a series of caches in Göteborg called
"Troy". Each cache in the series also contains a clue to where
the final cache in the series can be found. Don't forget to write
down the clue! The other caches in the "Troy" series are:
Troy - Poseidon
Troy - Palladium
Troy - The Wooden Horse
Troy - Laocoön
Troy - Archaeology (final cache)
Cache location
The cache is hidden near the place where the Palladium in our
city used to be (see waypoint SIGN below). As you can see, it is
not within our city walls anymore... Remember to be stealthy, and
please replace the cache as low as possible, to ease its
retrieval for the next cacher!
