Geocache Description:

CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!

This is the 6th cache in the wordbunnies series - read below to find out more about wordbunnies and most importantly, the cache puzzle. Watch for traffic. Extreme stealth is required. Cache is a small pill container just larger than a 35 mm film canister and can fit very small geocoins. Special gift for FTF!

Congratulations to Lisdowney, Tequila, and res2100 for FTF!

Some geocachers tossed up a great idea when talking around the water cooler - to create an ongoing series of mystery caches to commemorate the start of my geocaching premium membership. I thought, why not … and this is where the wordbunnies series begins.

Lets get everyone up to speed on wordbunnies - a "wordbunny" is a clump of words scattered about the surface of text that do little more than simply hold together as a clump of words. Wordbunnies jump right out of our mouths and into our speech and writing. Often mistaken as verbiage, these cute little wordbunnies don't add anything to the text; unlike dust bunnies, there's nothing technically wrong with them.

This is the 6th cache in the wordbunnies series - a mystery cache series across the GTA aimed to highlight redundancy of phrases or words that have become commonplace.

Like many, I am a victim of wordbunnies: my tireless effort to free myself of wordbunny jargon is an onerous task. But do not fret, I have met the magical ink monkey who professes that he can protect our "word safety".

Sometimes discrete, sometimes obvious, these pesky little creatures have a way of showing up in even the most meticulous text owner's text, and often times right before company.

(Special thanks to The Word Mechanic for enlightening me with a list of wordbunnies that hop right out and slap many with their delicate little furry white paws.)

Solve this cache puzzle and you will be one step closer to fine-tuning your vocabulary!

Wordbunny #6:
"Right" used at the end of a sentence, followed by a question mark, is an unnecessary wordbunny that I believe we have all fell victim to. People who are unsure of themselves are caught by saying "right" at the end of a sentence as if to answer a question they just asked, or to lend a third party voice to their claim in an argument (to assume validity).

Cache Puzzle:
Want to know how to make Dutch cookies?

Cream 1 cup of butter and 1 cup of white sugar. Separate an egg into the yolk and white. Beat in the egg yolk thoroughly. Add 3 cups of all-purpose flour and a half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Mix well.

Spread thinly on cookie sheets by pressing down mixture and scoring with a fork. Brush on a film of egg white mixed with some water and sprinkle half a cup of finely chopped walnuts over the top.

Bake for 26 minutes at 140°C.

Remove from oven and cut into squares. When cold, remove from cookie sheet.

This recipe serves a large gathering or a family of 4 (if everyone only wants to eat cookies for lunch). With 5 grams of saturated fat, 79 mg of sodium, and 86 calories, these Danish cookies are a favourite treat at Christmas in the Netherlands.

Good luck!
