Ford Motor Company has had continuous operations in Louisville since 1913. This is my first cache in a series at or near past and present Ford plants.
If you find all five of the Henry and Louis caches, you are eligible to find the Bonus Cache!
Construction of the present Louisville Assembly Plant began in 1953 and the first car rolled off the assembly line 18 April, 1955. Since then the plant has produced the following vehicles: Custom 500, Ranch Wagon, Country Squire, Fairlane, Sunliner, Skyliner, Galaxie, LTD, Crown Victoria, Edsel, Medium Truck, Heavy Truck, F-Series Pickup, Ranger, Bronco II, Explorer, Explorer Sport Trac, Mazda Navajo, and the Mercury Mountainer. The plant is currently building the all-new 2013 Ford Escape.
The plant has had many honors over the years including receiving more Ford Divisional Quality Awards than any other plant in North America as well as having, at one time, one of the fast linespeeds in the world - a blistering 87 vehicles per hour off of one line!
As for the cache, you are looking for a matchstick container hidden in typical fashion.
