Geocache Description:

This cache is a .50 ammo can that we are placing to celebrate our 125th cache. To start off, we have stocked it full of camping items. For the first to find (FTF) there is a really cool first aid kit/water bottle. We chose this location because this road leads to our favorite campground, Corral Pass. We started coming to this campground over 20 years ago and now help maintain it during the summer - particularly with the watering system for the stock water trough.

The cache is located a short distance up FS 7174. From Enumclaw, head towards Chinook Pass. Take a left off of 410 on FS7174. Follow the road to the cache or if the gate is closed, park and walk the short distance to the cache.

NW Forest Pass is required

The gate is typically open from mid-July to October. During the winter months, the gate is closed to prevent people from driving up the road when it is covered with snow. If the gate is closed, you can park your car at the “gate closed coordinates” and walk up the road beyond the gate. The cache is located approximately .30 of a mile from the gate and about 50 ft off the road once you get there. There is no need to bushwhack!!!!

If you want to check to see if the gate is open before you go:

Road Warning
If you chose to continue up the road to visit the campground or the Noble Knob trailhead, the road beyond the cache is very rough and gets narrow in several spots. The road is not suitable for small cars, RV or trailers. Drive slowly and be on the look out for mountain bikers.
