Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE ABOVE COORDS

To find this cache you will have to find 5 others first. They will take you on The Trace from Aurora to Grand Rivers. Each has it's own log and a tale to tell about the placement of this cache. It is a 30cal ammo can.

Links to each of the required caches are below.

This cache is placed for one of my heroes. He’s not a “superhero” he can’t see through walls, he can’t bend
steel bars, he can’t even fly. In fact he doesn’t have special powers of any kind. He does however have
a will of iron and a heart of gold.

When I heard his name for the first time I had never met him. I have known his mother Jennifer for a while,
and think she is great. This is how I know where her son's strength comes from.

I had talked to Jennifer about Geocaching and she and her family got excited about giving it a try. But Jacob being sidelined delayed them starting but not their enthusiasm.

Jacob is a kind and wonderful young man with a smile that lights up a room. About a year ago he was in a car accident. Jacob was injured very badly. His leg was shattered and his right arm was severed above the elbow.
Through a three month stay in the hospital he kept his smile and sense of humor.

After several operations including the reattatchment of his arm and lots of painful rehab, at the time this cache is published, he has some movement in his arm, is able to take a few steps on his own and should be all out walking in a month. I bet his smile gets even brighter when that happens.

One thing I heard he asked his mom was “When can we go walking in LBL?”. This cache is being placed in honor of this hero. It is meant to tell others his story and to help make a goal for him to shoot for. I doubt he will be able to get all the containers alone for a while but he can get them as his walking improves.

Jacob... keep it up man I know you will make every goal you make for yourself. Remember bud,
There are lots of people that are proud of all you have done and what you still have to do.

Jacob has the link to this page so if you would like leave a message to him in your log please feel free.
