The chimney is all that remains of the house owned by Ben Chifley's Grandfather.
Do NOT go into private land.
Apparently when Ben Chifley was about 7 years old, his grandfather said it was time Ben went to work with him on the property he owned along the Limekilns Road on the way to Meadow Flat.
Ben did not return to his family home for many years. His brothers walked out to visit him one day. Considering the distance from Bathurst, they must have had a horse or two or received a lift from someone as they were only young at the time.
When Ben's grandfather died, the property was left to him by his grandfather, however Ben did not want it. The original property has not been subdivided however the land to both the left and the right of the road was originally Chifley land.
The cache is a small container and the log is water resistant paper so you may need a pencil if a pen doesn't work.
Co-ords were taken when there was a fair amount of green folage around.
