A walk or a mountain bike ride to a lookout looking over the Nepean River & Eastern Blue Mountains. You should be able to see Mt Portal lookout on the other side of river, a little North.
This is an Mystery Cache where you need to answer questions about the 3 Locations & Posted Co – Ordinates to locate the actual cache.
This is the 3rd cache in a series along this part of the Nepean River East Side.
1st is Nepean Gorge – The Table Rock Lookout which is the easiest to do, (visit link)
2nd is Nepean Gorge – The Rileys Mountain Lookout, 2 ½ km’s out

And 3rd (this 1) is a fair distance walk / ride to a lookout located above the Nepean River. The start of this walk / ride is at the end of Fairlight Road.
Travel to Mulgoa along Mulgoa Road & turn into Fairlight Road. It has a sign saying (Nepean River Lookouts 8km). Travel to the end of this road, the last section is dirt. You will reach a car parking area. From here you will start the walk or ride to the lookout. Other information please read above 2 cache notes.
There are 3 locations & Posted Co – Ordinates at lookout. At each location & Posted Co – Ordinates you will need to answer questions to find cache location.

Posted Co – Ordinates – Lookout & answer Question about Trees
Location 1 – concrete bunker
At coordinates S 33º48.355’ E 150º37.865’ you will come at a concrete bunker with solar panels above on a separate pole.
Location 2 – sign
At coordinates S 33º48.103’ E 150º38.302’ you will come to a sign along the boundary fence.
Location 3 – sign
At coordinates S 33º47.861’ E 150º38.348’ you will come to a sign that will direct you to the lookout.
Posted Co – Ordinates – Lookout
At coordinates S 33º 47.302' E 150º 38.334' you will come to the lookout & answer a question about trees.
Please keep well back from the cliff edge & take extreme care with children. This lookout isn’t fenced. People that are interested in small caves will like this area.
Now you will need to answer questions to locate the cache hiding spot.

Q1 Location 2 – sign How many letters “R” & “T” are on the horizontal sign?
Q2 Location 1 – concrete bunker; on the tower above the bunker, there are 2 cradles housing individual solar panels (as of 7 May 2013 there is room to install an extra panel in each cradle) how many individual solar panels are ABLE to be mounted in both cradles = Answer divided by 2 = ___
Q3 Location 2 – sign How many letters are in the first word on the horizontal sign?.
Q4 Location 3 – sign Add up how many letters are on the horizontal sign = Answer divide by 7 + 3 = __.
Q5 Location 3 – sign How many letters “P” are on the horizontal sign?
Q6 Posted Co – Ordinates – Lookout How many trees at posted co-ordinates inside a circumference of 1.5 Metres = Answer + 6 = __..
Once you have answered the questions, go back to car park & go from there.
You are looking for a Large rectangular ammo tin.
A pair of gloves will help when looking, always be aware of snakes & spiders in the bush and have fun.
Please when returning the cache; cover it well with leaves & twigs at the base of tree to stop any chance of muggles.
