I suggest you wear sturdy shoes for this one. Parts of your hunt will include areas where there is a lot of broken glass due to yobs who seem to use this area as a party zone. This also makes it a big candidate for CITO, although when you see some areas you'll wonder what good it will do. I guess better to light a candle ...
You should also wear old clothes. You will get dirty.
Anyway, once you have found "Waterhole Approach" and worked out the co-ordinates from the Clue Book, head off to WP1. My advice is to return to the main 4WD track and follow that down, rather than taking a more direct approach. You will find this easier and faster.
Once at WP1 you will find a rock carving that might have been done by someone called Kerry Kellway or Kevin Kruncher. They have left you two numbers to play with.
Let the first number be x.
Let the second number be y.
Now do the following calculations:
A = 7x+1 (That's 7 multiplied by x, plus 1)
B = y-57
From this you can determine the coordinates for Waterhole
GZ = S 33 51.A, E 150 37.B
Once you have the co-ordinates your next problem will be your approach. It isn't that hard and it can be done without getting your feet wet, but you'll have to sort that out. When you find the cache, unclip the yellow karabiner from the silver karabiner. You will find it easiest if you leave the silver one in place. Now, take a few moments to enjoy the view and (hopefully) serenity. If you're quiet you will most likely see fish leaping several feet into the air across the water. I have every time I've been here. Maybe when it comes time to do log duties you'll be inspired to greater poetic heights than I have achieved. Please ensure the cache is placed back as you found it. It's important that the yellow karabiner is reattached to the silver to prevent a possible washaway.
