Geocache Description:

This is our first night cache in the Blue Mountains. Rating is high because of the darkness.
You will need a good torch and stout shoes. You should carry a spare torch and batteries too. Make sure all the batteries are fresh. It gets dark up here. And cold in Winter.

The cache is not at the above coordinates.
When you get to them, put your GPS away. But don't turn it off. Enable the backtrack facility on it if it has one. It will make it easier to get back to your starting point. Take out your torch instead. A head torch works best. Otherwise, you will get best results if you hold the torch up near your ear.
Follow the reflective markers to the cache.

The first part is along a track which is fairly obvious, but a little uneven at times. Markers along the track will be spaced about 50 metres apart, but you shouldn't have any problems. You will pass near two houses at one point. Veer to the right of them. Try not to shine your light on them too much. You don't want them calling the cops. While you are on public land, the lengthy explanations may take the shine off your adventure.

Keep following the track to a tree with two markers on it. Here you will need to go off track. You will need to find the trail of markers. The first marker should be visible from the track.
From here each marker will be visible from the previous one. Follow these until you come to three markers on the one tree. The cache is hidden here.

If you are still on the main track 500m from your starting position, you have gone way too far & will need to backtrack.

Pay attention to your way out. While we have placed the markers so they should be visible both coming and going, I recommend enabling the track back facility on your GPSr if it has one.
