Sound like fun? It should be! But before you attempt
this series, please consider the
following:
- You will get wet, and
possibly soaked, doing this series.
- Bring a couple gallon-sized
ziplock baggies -- one for your GPSr (easy to operate in a large
bag), one for your camera and phone, and one for anything else you
don't want to get wet. Trap a little air in them and they float
should they fall out of the boat.
- Bring
sunscreen!
- Bring a hat - especially in
summer.
- Bring lots of bottled
water!
- Wear a PFD /
Lifejacket.
- Bring your camera... but
don't drop it!
- Bring your cell phone...
just in case.
- No motors are allowed in
Armand Bayou from GPS marker #4 upstream through trail marker #26
(and various other places off the lake - should this series expand
from others).
There are no geocaching.com attributes for
alligators. Watch out for alligators! They are out there...
somewhere. The one on the photo of this page was seen leaving CLAPS
#7 going to #8. DO NOT FEED or pester the alligators - you could
get in trouble in more ways than one.
This cache guardian

series!

need ideas on how to get paddling to get these
caches.
Now - for the CLAPS Bonus Cache! – GC29MN7
Six of the caches in this series (#01-#12) have a number under the
lid (which is poor) and a number written on the outside of the
container near the lid. Collect them all, and note both the cache
series number and the number under the lid. The bonus cache is
located at N 29 33.ABC, W 095 03.DEF, where A is the number in the
lid of the lowest number cache in the series, and F is the number
in the lid of the highest number cache in the series. Note - this
series has more than 6 caches, so you’ll have to pay
attention. We’re not saying which they’re
under.

A special Thank You goes out to VOODOO CHICKEN, GGMORTON and
SYD0703 for their assistance in establishing this series. I could
not have done it without their
help.
