Geocache Description:

H...O...W...Z...A...T ??????

Are you old enough to remember the “good ol' days” when you’d come home from school, grab a quick snack, change your clothes (only 'cause mum made you) and go flying out the door to meet up with your mates for that backyard cricket test match you have been playing over the last few days where one team was Australia and the other…. our arch enemies England, (of course!!) The essential equipment included a garbage bin for the wicket, a number of tennis balls and an old beat up bat without a grip on the handle. There were always local rules such as…. you can’t get out on the first ball……. no LB’s…… one hand, one bounce catches........ if Bluey the dog catches the ball, you’re out!....... if you hit mum’s swinging planter, you’re out…… Andy's little sister could field but wasn't allowed to bat...... and of course…….. over the fence was always SIX and OUT!! (It's rumoured this rule was initiated by a hapless bowler living alongside a pack of Rottweilers.) Well, I never got to play on a full size oval but this location reminded me of those fantastic days of my youth.

This is a two-stage multi located in a beautiful recreation area of Kenthurst. Both waypoints can be accessed from the one car park location. Finding WP1 and the co-ordinates for the cache location is where the challenge will be, (for some). Once you have discovered WP1, the cache itself should be an easy find. The best time to come is during the week when you will very likely have the place to yourself. On weekends the area tends to be frequented by loads of sporty-type Muggles. Local residents also like to walk their dogs around here too.

I can tell you WP1 is not on top of the big tank so no need to climb up there. It is not around the electrical boxes and it is not over at the pump on top of one of the lower tanks.

Once the cache is found, take some time to read the stash note. It has some information about the Kenthurst area you may find interesting.

I hope you enjoy the hunt in this beautiful and peaceful part of the Hills District.
