Geocache Description:

This cache is placed with permission of the Park Manager and the DCNR.

The closest parking area for this one is at the north end of the park not far from Drake Well N41 36.934 W079 39.516 You have several ways to get to the cache once you leave your car

1) You could hike down the east side of the Gerard Hiking trail being sure to take the cross over at the bridge (going down hill would be a good start for this)

2) You could take the bike trail by walking or biking but if you take your bike be prepared to leave it behind when you have to turn down the hiking trail for the last part of your journey as they are not aloud on the dirt trail.

3) If the water is high enough you could launch near the parking area and boat to the bridge where you will put ashore not far from the cache.

4) You could also take your jet pack but from what I hear their use is going to be banned in State Parks very soon.

The bridge is of the suspension type and it does move but not nearly as much as an Indiana Jones bridge (that would be way to cool). No matter how you get to the cache you should watch for the many wild animals that live in the area, a camera would be a great addition to your cache bag for the day.
