mrxhill hits 1000! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NatalieD!: i contacted the cacher who had found out that this cache had been taken by someone who lives in one of the nearby residences. she told me that the person claims this cache was placed on 'their land,' and took the cache- although i'm a bit suspicious about that to begin with, since it is clearly in heron creek forest preserve and not in someone's backyard. she said she will see if she can recover the original cache but not to worry- either way, i will have a replacement ready to go soon and will place it somewhere else within this preserve. those of you who have found this cache are more than welcome to claim another smiley on the replacement cache since it will be a new listing. sorry to have to archive this one! check your emails for the new cache within the next few days! thanks!

Geocache Description:

In an effort to recognize those who pass a major milestone, Special Ed and Fallen Faery started the tradition of placing milestone caches. It's just a small way to congratulate local cachers and their efforts. This cache was placed to honor Mike (mrxhill) for his 1000th milestone!

mrxhill may not be a pharmacist (or French chemist... or whatever else the Chicago Geocacher Podcasters decide to come up with for the week)-- but he's a great cacher, that's for sure!

Not only has he now hit the 1000 mark, but he has given back to the geocaching community by placing many of his own caches in the area for all of us to enjoy.

We have had the pleasure of meeting Mike out on the trails and at events, and he has a
great sense of humor, he's a fun person to cache with, and above all else, he's just a REALLY nice guy.

You will be looking for the traditional silver ammo can stocked with swag, and of course a special gift for the honoree! The terrain will vary based on the time of year it is hunted.

Congrats, mrxhill, on 1000 finds! Here's to many more! Welcome to the comma club. Cache on!

**Congrats to mrxhill on honorary FTF and MS893E on post-publication FTF!!**
