Geocache Description:

A cache placed on Table Mountain by the 1st Priddis Cubs as part of this year's pack specialty badge - "Geocaching".
1st Priddis Cubs

Leaders - Stan, Terry (Akela) & Ryan
Cubs (middle) - Tyler, Christopher, Austin, Michael, Ethan, Michael & Evan
Cubs (Front) - Kyle, Sam & Caleb

One of the highlights of the 1st Priddis Cubs' annual year end camp at Camp Impeesa this year was hiking up to the top of Table Mountain and planting a pack geocache. We started out as a group of 18 that included 7 cubs, 2 siblings and 9 leaders/parents. In the end, 4 of the cubs (Evan, Michael, Ethan and Tyler "Littlest TiE") made it to the top along with Mr. and Mrs. TiE on a very windy day. The rest of our group including Austin, Caleb and Christopher turned back at various points on the hike, but all put in a great effort and were provided with terrific views along the way. Well done everyone!!! !

The hike from the provided trailhead/parking coordinates to the cache is about 9km roundtrip with a net elevation gain of about 700m. The trip to the summit via this cache will be about 12km with a net elevation gain of under 800m.

The cache is an ammo can with a token $5 and FTF card for the first to find, finder's cards for others, swag, pencils and a logbook. Please re-hide as found as per the hint.

There are 2 other caches along the way Table Top and Table Mountain as well as a brass cap survey marker BCP123 at the summit that can be logged at GC43F3.

The route to the top is well marked but does involve some loose rock and steep sections. As this is a back country cache, please do not attempt unless you are properly prepared for variable weather and terrain conditions as well as potential animal encounters. Stay hydrated and enjoy yourselves!
