Geocache Description:

"BEWARE!! Crack Kills"

When you get near ground zero you will understand the relevance that saying
has with this hide. Please do not search for this container in the dark!

Is this an angel?
While exploring the area I snapped this photo
and "captured" this "Angel in the Devil's Kitchen"

After hiding a cache recently (Dancing in the Devil's Playground) I got a bit curious about an area somewhere in Bidwell Park known as Devil's Kitchen. It didn't take much romping around the internet to find what I was looking for.

As it turns out, Devil's Kitchen is an area of basalt columns where rock climbers test their skills. After a short hike (from Diversion Dam parking) I found the location adjacent to parking lot "Q" in the park.

Be careful while in the area. As you near ground zero you will need to find the proper path that will lead you to where you want to be. Unless you are a super hero, you will be "circling" the Devil's Kitchen in your hunt. Because the amount of basalt in the area may wreak havoc on your GPSr, I've upped the difficulty a bit. I've also added a spoiler image that shows the "dead" structure that hides the container. Click the link at your own discretion.

After logging your find, don't forget to enter the crack near ground zero (or one of several other cracks) and explore this area.
