Risk is a strategic board game, produced by Parker Brothers. The standard version is played on a board depicting a political map of the Earth, divided into forty-two territories, which are grouped into six continents. The primary object of the game is "world domination," or to occupy every territory on the board and in so doing, eliminate all other players.

There are nine territories in the North American continent in Risk. Alaska is the largest state in the United States by area. Approximately half of Alaska's 698,473 residents live within the Anchorage metropolitan area. As of 2009, Alaska remains the least densely populated state of the U.S.
