Geocache Description:

The cache is located in a park named after the 37/52 Australian Infantry Battalion. There is plenty of space to roam and there is a playground for the geokids. Please note that the ground can get quite wet in places so watch your step.

The 37/52 Australia Infantry Battalion trained in this area in 1942 prior to leaving for active service in New Guinea. My grandfather served as part of this Batallion.

I have placed this cache here to commemorate Anzac Day.

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I. It now more broadly commemorates all those who died and served in military operations for their countries past and present.

To find out more about the 37/52 Battalion please visit the following link (visit link)

The cache is located in a medium sized container and contains some swaps and travel bug. Please take care to ensure cache replaced and covered as found.

This is my first placement so any feedback would be welcome.

* FTF * honours go to jasenjanine. Congratulations.
