Geocache Description:

One of seven plus bonus in a series "Secrets of Codes" caches commemorating the past history and true leaders of what we know as the “Puzzle”. The Cache is not at the published coordinates, so please don’t go there unless you are really looking for places to visit.

First used by the Indian Scholar “Pingala” (approx. 5th-2nd century BC) for the simplification of the numbering system.

In 1605 our old friend Francis Bacon (Francis’s Cipher GC1DGGK) discussed a system whereby the entire alphabet could be expressed as sequences of binary digits "provided those objects be capable of a twofold difference only; as by Bells, by Trumpets, by Lights and Torches, by the report of Muskets, and any instruments of like nature”

1854 saw the British mathematician George Boole detailing a system of algebraic logic that we now know as Boolean Algebra using Boolean Expressions to express “truths”.

This entire concept caused me to spend an ordinate amount of my spare time many years ago locked in a computer lab with the express intention of understanding both Boolean Equations and predicting the outcomes. Yes, I passed the exam, however even today when I see them written down I have a sense of pending dread.

There is likely to be very high muggle activity at or nearby to the GZ so please choose your time well.

In each cache in this series is a clue to a bonus Cache Mad Scientist GC33ZJQ Please keep note of these additional clues as you will need them for the Bonus.

The Secrets of Codes Series can be found
Cache has room for Trades & Trackables.

FTF goes to "McCutchan Cache Clan", Congrats and well done on the solve
